I'm going to get you to download a Power toy software for windows XP.

Go to this site:

http://www.microsoft...ppowertoys.mspx

Then look for (on the right hand side) a software called Tweak UI

Then click on TweakUI.exe

Download it and install it.

Once that is done, go to Start>All Programs>Powertoys for Windows XP>Tweak UI.

Once that has opened look for a thing on the left hand side called Repair

make sure that Rebuild Icons is selected and click Repair now.

Once that is done, click ok, then reboot your computer

Hey Boo-Yeah...welcome to G2G!

The Security Center you seek is part of SP2...you will need to install this update to get it. SP2 is a Critical Update to Win XP and I highly recommend it be installed. You don't mention how you connect to the internet, but if you are on a dial-up, be prepared for a long download...it's a very large update...right around 90MB if memory serves.

Try getting it by going to the Start button...choose "All Programs" and then click on "Windows Update" (should be toward the top of the menu on the left)
