Hello! I hate to be a pest and bug anyone out there, but I'm just stuck on this one. I have actually dealt with this sort of thing before - usually when I or someone I know gets some insane adware/trojans/viruses I can usually google search and find a solution. Likely coming up on some cached pages from this forum which is always helpful - but I've been trying for hours now and I've got nothing. Don't know what kind of problem I have specifically, other than I'm getting a number of popups - from searc-h.com, among others - and I can't seem to do anything about it. A few things I have tried:

Ad-Aware
Norton
Ewido
l2mfix
Killbox (for deleting certain files I thought might be the problem)
HijackThis
TrojanHunter
and a couple of other things I'm sure.

Anyway, my log:

I really don't know what could be off. "O20 - Winlogon Notify: SideBySide - C:\WINDOWS\system32\s0rsla971d.dll" sounds suspicious to me, and before it was a different .dll in that space - but I took killbot as some google search told me the file was safe to delete (whatever it was, I forget the name) and somehow was lucky enough to delete it (even in safe mode it was hard to get rid of) but that particular .dll just dissapeared and a new one came up. Then another one, even though I didn't delete the second.

Sorry if I'm rambling, it's just about 4am as I write this. Please, if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. I am at a loss, and feel pretty goofy :)

Also, sorry if this has been dealt with time and time again. I didn't see any links on google and did a search on the forum for searc-h.com and couldn't really come up with any answers. Though I was pointed to Spy Sweeper which I am going to try now.

Thanks for any possible help! I need it. :tazz:

Not trying to bump the thread up for help, but figured anyone out there who runs into a similar problem might search google and find this thread or something. Spy Sweeper appears to have done the trick. It scanned my comp, found the files on my computer and made me do a reboot then deleted the file before Windows started back up. I figure this topic can be locked now. Like to thank the forums, probably should have tried Spy Sweeper before starting a topic but never thought it would work. This is a great site, just want to say and a plethora of knowledge.
