lsass.exe is a system process of the Microsoft Windows security mechanisms. It specifically deals with local security and login policies. lsass.exe also relates to the Windang.worm, irc.ratsou.b, Webus.B, MyDoom.L, Randex.AR, Nimos.worm which spread via floppy disk drives, mass-mailing and peer-to-peer sharing.

Do a good viruscheck with kaspersky antivirus.
that probably will get you back up n running.

good luck. :tazz:

do you mean purchase the kaspersky antivirus?

If so, do I load it in as a cd and it will automatically run?

b/c presently I cant get anywhere except the computer setup screen and safe mode, etc. (which just goes thru continuos rebooting as well)?

You don't have to purchase kaspersky antivirus. You can download a trial version a their
downloads page If you can get Kaspersky from another pc and burn it to a cd or put it on a stick, you can install it on the pc with the problem.

Hope this will work for you.

Thanks for your help SAAB.

I will try this BUT my fear is this is not going to work. As i said b4 I am stuck in a continuos reboot loop regardless of the mode of operation. If I could get into windows xp I could easily fix the problem a variety of ways. I will report back either weay after loading the cd.

Thanks again.

Still trying to get my computer back. The computer came with windows xp installed so I dont have a boot up xp cd. I am trying to get my hands on one w/o having to spend a hundred bucks to purchase one.

I have a windowss xp - professional disc for our Dell computers at work. Can I use it on my Compaq home pc?

Cant even get into the BIOS screen for recovery. THIS REALLY SUCKS PEOPLE!
