i have a compaq presario and a dell laptop both are windows xp. the problem i am having is that i am trying to connect to the internet using a ethernet cable on my dell laptop but it doesnt work. at the buttom of the screen it says that i am connected to the modem and my speed is 100.0mbps but when i go on the internet and type in any address nothing pops up but the message "internet explorer cannot display the webpage".
the internet works fine on my presario laptop using the ethernet cable but not on the dell laptop....
can someone help me please.thank you
