Hi Everyone,
I hope someone here can help me figure this out. I just moved into a new place and our internet access is included in the rent, the problem is that there's no password protection on the router and the landlord refuses to put a password on it. I was wondering if i bought my own router and put a password on it, could i connect to this network safely while the other people in the house just use the wide open connection? thanks in advance |

You can only have one router on a broadband line.
Realistically if the internet is part of the rent and if the landlord is responsible for it, it's his/her problem if it gets abused. |
