problem with intervideo windvd, as above

hi everyone, any time i try to watch a dvd on my laptop the dvd will stop playing after a few seconds and i get the following message :"your display environment does not support protected content playback" i cant watch dvds on my new laptop please help please note im using irish dvds in ireland so settings shouldnt be the problem thanks for your help in advance

are you trying to play hi-def (blu-ray) dvd's? Are you just trying to watch it on your laptop or are you trying to watch it on an external tv?

that's odd. that error normally occurs either with a blu-ray dvd or when your hdmi to an external tv. Sounds like an issue with WinDVD. What version is windvd?
