i have read a few post and have downloaded the trend micro hijackthis now i need help with what do i check so it can be fixed? here is what came up after i did a scan

Where is this message showing up?
You have provided no information on this other then a log report that we don't use in this forum.
Are you getting a BSOD and if so is there any other information on it?
What are your systems specs?
If you don't know then do the following.

Download and install Free Everest Home Edition
Open it.
1: In left pane expand Computer folder.
2: Click once on Summary
3: In upper menu, go Report
4: And then to Quick Report-Summary
5: Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post.
Click the + by computer, click on Sensor. Get a screenshot and post it so I can check your temps and voltages...

DO NOT INCLUDE ANYTHING UNDER THE LINE THAT SAYS "DEBUG- PCI"

hello this error occurs when i am (example) on myspace and going to upload a pic soon as i click upload the error pops up anyplace so far where i try to upload any pics i get this error
this is the report i did

If you have more than one RAM module installed, try starting computer with one RAM stick at a time.

NOTE Keep in mind, the manual check listed above is always superior to the software check, listed below. DO NOT proceed with memtest, if you can go with option A

B. If you have only one RAM stick installed...
...run memtest...

1. Download - Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO (.zip)
2. Unzip downloaded memtest86+-2.11.iso.zip file.
3. Inside, you'll find memtest86+-2.11.iso file.
4. Download, and install ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/
5. Insert blank CD into your CD drive.
6. Open ImgBurn, and click on Write image file to disc
7. Click on Browse for a file... icon:



8. Locate memtest86+-2.11.iso file, and click Open button.
9. Click on ImgBurn green arrow to start burning bootable memtest86 CD:



10. Once the CD is created, boot from it, and memtest will automatically start to run.

The running program will look something like this depending on the size and number of ram modules installed:




It's recommended to run 5-6 passes. Each pass contains very same 8 tests.

This will show the progress of the test. It can take a while. Be patient, or leave it running overnight.



The following image is the test results area:



The most important item here is the “errors” line. If you see ANY errors, even one, most likely, you have bad RAM.

i have tryed and tryed now for 45 minutes to download and open that memtest file no way i have saved it used winzip extracted all files it wont open it says no file just use this CD to boot and memtest will run i even went to memtest website still cant open it is there a nother way i have tryed everything thank you for your time

Unzip orignall downloaded file.
Then use the Imgburn program to burn the newly unzipped file to the disk
Insert disk into cdrom drive and reboot.
Make sure the cdrom is the first boot device in the bios.
Have you followed all these steps?

oh ok i did as it said and put it on CD ran the test and it came back 0 on all test so where do i go from here ? thinking hardware store for sledge hammer

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

This program checks for any drivers which may have been causing your computer to crash....

Click on the file you just downloaded and run it.

Put a tick in Accept then click on Next
Put a tick in the Don't create a start menu folder then click Next
Put a tick in Create a Desktop Icon then click on Install and make sure there is a tick in Launch Whocrashed before clicking Finish
Click Analyze
It will want to download the Debugger and install it Say Yes

WhoCrashed will create report but you have to scroll down to see it
Copy and paste it into your next reply

well i have done all that and got nothing this was the reply after running whocrashed

but remember my puter isnt crashing i am just getting the error reference memory could not be written thank you for your time and trouble

OK I just noticed that the memory test only ran for a hour and half at the most.
This is not long enough for the test.
Please try running it for the minimum required time.
This will take at least 2 hours to just cycle through one run of the test.
After that then do the following:

Go to

Start and then to Run
Type in Chkdsk /r Note the space between k and /
Click Enter ...It will probably ask if you want to do this on the next reboot...click Y

If the window doesn't shutdown on its own then reboot the system manually. On reboot the system will start the chkdsk operation
This one will take longer then chkdsk /f

Note... there are 5 stages...
It may appear to hang at a certain percent for a hour or more or even back up and go over the same area...this is normal...
DO NOT SHUT YOUR COMPUTER DOWN WHILE CHKDSK IS RUNNING OR YOU CAN HAVE SEVERE PROBLEMS
This can take several hours to complete.
When completed it will boot the system back into windows.

Let me know if this fixes the problem

well i found what the problem was i was reading in a different post about adobe realtime player gives this error so i uninstalled it and reinstalled it like they said it fixed the problem i want to thank you so much for all your time and trouble have a great day thanks again
