I read the other problems with the restarting an blue screens but none really could help me.
I didnt want to try aything at the risk of me messing things up further.
I have windows xp
the drive is partioned(that may b tha prob dont know)
but i jus got it (the computer i bought from a guy in the paper)80 gig harddrive im barely using any of it)
i jus put on a wireless pci card which i took off an put back on an its still gettin the same error
its for my music studio so i really need help asap
im losing money everyday cuz im scared to start on anyones project
can someone take me step by step through the process of getting to the bottom of the problem
and getting it fixed

Reboot into safe mode, by tapping f8 key at startup, about once a second...you will be given a text mode menu....choose safe mode

Run driver cleaner pro and select the video driver you had from the drop down menu and let driver cleaner wipe out all the remaining files from the uninstall.

reboot into normal mode...cancel the hardware installation wizard.

Use the driver setup routine you downloaded above to reinstall the driver.

i click on the setup.exe it say installshield 99 100 percent blinks off an neva comes back

which xp drivers....they are all xp drivers? Or, do you mean the VIA USB 2.0 Host Controller Driver for windows xp?

Not sure why that wouldn't work....might have a bad download.

by the way i have a computer that
the monitor works but it doesnt come on
ive seen tha monitor work on anotha computer
but it doesnt work when i hook it to tha computer in question
the lights come on an everything and the drives open an close
but no pic on the monitor
when i unplug the monitor it say plug is disconnected
when i hook it up the led at the bottom jus flashs like its on standby
any idea whut the problem is
an how i could maybe solve it?

are you certain you are plugging into the right vga port...some computers have two vga ports--one for an integrated gpu and one for a video card.

Inserting a video card can sometimes disable the integrated gpu, rendering it useless

the monitor cord only fits into one connection
tha whole system used to work
tha other monitor went out so i thought
an i bought a new one
an the new doesnt work either so ive already wasted money
but like i said everything lights up on tha base but tha monitor shows no pic an acts
as if its in standby mode

Click the Troubleshoot tab, move the Hardware Acceleration slider to None, and then clear the Enable Write Combining check box.
Click OK, and then click OK.
