Every now and then at startup my computer would show an error saying:

svchost.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x7c918fea" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The memory could not be "written".
Click OK to terminate the program
Click CANCEL to debug the program

I thought there might be malware and posted in the malware section, but it seems like it isn't.

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks a lot.

NeX,

By any chance are you running McAfee software? If so, this has come up a few times. If you need, I'll try to find the fix.

could be one of the service installed on your computer causing this problem.
disable or uninstall those services from the list of services.
try start->run-> type services.msc hit enter.
right click and uninstall any suspicious service. Also clear all the unnecessary items from the startup.
Hope this will resolve your issue.
