Hi there I have just bought the game battle for middle earth 2 for my pc and I seem to have a problem with the game.
Every time I put the dvd in the light on my drive just keeps flashing but it doesn't recognise the dvd/
I have had this problem before with call of duty 2 and need for speed most wanted but it was resolved with a firmware update. I have tried this again and it says my firmware is already updated.
I am at a loss what to do and feel like I've just wasted £40.
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated thanks :tazz:

Do you have another DVD drive you can test it on?

It's probably the drive that's having problems reading it. I've had a DVD-ROM drive read every disk bar the Far Cry DVD.
Try the disk on a friends computer and if it works then that just confirms it.
Get a replacement drive or get a refund on the game.

Funny thing is I had this problem with 2 of my other games (need for speed most wanted and call of duty 2)
both worked fine after the firmware update but now this.
Also very funny that I get more help from this website and its users and I feel more comfatable by telling you my pc probs than telling it to ea tech support who ask me things like "are you sure you have it installed in? is the pc actually on?"
Yes they did ask me those questions.

I might be worth contacting the manufacturer of the drive to see if they can help. Maybe it's a known issue.

The people at EA tech support need to spend some time on forums like this one. Maybe even register for the Geek University this site runs.
