I watch a lot of movies and WMA files on WMP. I get prompted by Z/A a lot for setup_wm.exe for access to the internet and I usually grant it thinking it to be harmless. But looking at my Z/A logs, I noticed that setup_wm.exe goes to different destination DNS's like "my.ebay.com". Should I be concerned?

Setup_wm.exe Windows media player setup Occasionally tries to check with MS for updates Always deny. This program can leak information about the media you play. Get your updates through windows update

doesn't say squat about checking on ebay...i suggest going through the malware forum and getting a checkup

Please go to the malware forum in my signature and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
