dvd rom tray wont stay open!

im wondering if anyone out there can help me. im having an annoying problem with my dvd drive tray. it closes by itself after like 5 seconds. not just once in a while, its every time i open it. its a lite-on LDW-411S. ive looked at all kinds of settings and properties and what not, (includng updating the drivers, and the firmware) but for the life of me i cant figure out how to make the tray stay open until i choose to close it. the problem really doesnt hurt anything, but it is VERY annoying and i would like it to stop. any help is greatly appreciated!

Ensure its not catching on or hitting anything as it comes out. Many drives will just wheel the tray back in if they can't openi t fully to avoid damaging the mechanics.
