When I bought & set up this pc, I was a total newcomer to computing. That was only a few months ago.

When I log on it is as an administrator. I have been told that this can make it easier to be hacked, get virus's or trojans.

I did create a new "limited account". But when I log on as a limited user, none of the programs, files, isp, are present. Is there any way to transfer all I have added to the new account, from the administrator account?

Hopefully I have explained my problem correctly.

WXP home
cable conn.

Thanks, Bassguru

the programs should still be there...you probably just don't have the shortcuts on the desktop...just right click on the desktop and choose new...then shortcut...then point that shortcut to the exe of that program

Thanks, you are correct. I just had to copy anything I had added to a CD & add it to my new log in. Thanks again
