It should be behaving a lot better now. Can you confirm that?

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

O2 - BHO: URLLink - {4A2AACF3-ADF6-11D5-98A9-00E018981B9E} - C:\Program Files\NewDotNet\newdotnet7_22.dll (file missing)

O2 - BHO: Viewpoint Toolbar BHO - {A7327C09-B521-4EDB-8509-7D2660C9EC98} - C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Toolbar V35\ViewBarBHO.dll

O3 - Toolbar: Viewpoint Toolbar - {F8AD5AA5-D966-4667-9DAF-2561D68B2012} - C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Toolbar V35\ViewBar.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSConfig] C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\MSConfig.exe /auto

Please download: http://www.webattack...nsockxpfix.html
Only use it if the procedure below breaks your internet connection.

Download the LSPFix utility from http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
Launch the LSPFix.exe
On the Winsock 2 Repair Utility screen
Place a check mark next to I know what I'm doing
Click on the entry c:\program files\newdotnet\newdotnet7_22.dll
Do NOT select any of the others
Click the >> button to move the item(s) to the Remove window.
Click Finish to remove the entry from the Winsock stack.

Reboot and post back with a new HijackThis log.

Can you see if this helps:

1) Click the "Start" button in the bottom left hand corner of the screen.
2) Select the |"Control Panel"
3) Click the "System" icon within the "Performance and Maintenenace " section
4) Select the "Advanced" tab across the top
5) Click "Settings" within the "Performance" section
6) Select the "Advanced" tab
7) Near the bottom there is a "Change" button, click this
8) Within the "Virtual memory" section there is a button "System managed size"
9) Click this and then the "OK" -- 3 times, to exit the settings.
Restart your machine and check if STANDBY is once again an option.

On the APM tab, click Enable Advanced Power Management Support.

It may take a reboot for the changes to take effect.
Check if the Hibernate tab is there after you do.
