laptop to tv audio problem

buddy of mine gave me an s video to 3 rca cable so i could do the old pc to tv setup for whatever. Ive gone through all display settings and have the display from my laptop to my tv no problem, its the audio i can't get to work.

got both rca red and white connections in the right spot through the vcr, and the other end into my headphone jack of my toshiba laptop

but i dont get it, no audio whatsoever

so i need some advice as to what the problem might be. i can post any specs if required, i think.

hope someone can help me
