well...in standard terms a ds3 is a T3 which is a dedicated phone connection supporting data rates of about 43 Mbps. A T-3 line actually consists of 672 individual channels, each of which supports 64 Kbps.

i'm gonna assume...that a ds3 microwave link...is a ds3 that opperates wirelessly...through microwaves...like..sattelite internet i would assume..never personally heard of such a thing...but...sounds REALLY FUN...

it would be used for large internet hookups or WAN setups and such.
