Can anyone tell me how to import my email account I have at www.netscape.com into my microsoft outlook. I think I have everything figured out except my incoming server and outgoing server. I tried typing in this from a website I found....

Netscape Internet Service Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop.3.isp.netscape.com (port 110)
Netscape Internet Service Outgoing Mail Server - smtp.isp.netscape.com (port 25, using a secure SSL connection)

but it didn't seem to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Ok I assume you have set up an account in Outlook express. Start Outlook express
Tools > accounts > click on account name then click on properties
Click on servers tab where it has incoming mail you should have
pop.3.isp.netscape.com
on outgoing you should have
stmp.isp.netscape.com

Is this what you have and can you give me the link where you got this info from.

I think it should be pop3 not pop.3.
So post the address and I will check it out.

Also is this the only Email address you have in outlook express - when you set one up it ask do you want to set up an Netscape mail

Cheers
Peterm
Hmmm just been researching and I reall would like that link I am getting 2+2 = 5

Thanks for the help. Here is the link you requested. As for doing this, I was still unable to. I have microsoft outlook on my computer, not express. It may be the same, but not sure. What I have done is go into tools, email accounts, and a wizard pops up saying set up an email account. Then it asks if it is a pop3 and then it asks for all my info. Eventually it asks for incoming and outgoing server. That is where I have typed in my things. Then there is a test button that I hit, and it comes back as an error every time. Thanks.

Ok soory about that but your heading said outlook express
So we are looking at Microsoft outlook (brown colour icon)
In pop 3 take out the dot between pop and 3.
What is the failure message ?
I think it may have to do with SSl
Will get back to you on that am looking at mine now

if removing the . between pop 3 does not help put it back in
then in the same place go to the advanced tab and tick on
this server requires a secure connection SSL

Hey. Well I am getting further. I have put all the info you wanted. As far as the test goes, it established the connection, incoming and outgoing servers. Now it is saying that it is unable to log onto the incoming server. It asks that I check my user name, password, and email address. I am pretty sure of this so now I am really confused on why it is not working.

Let you check this or reset them
