I just forwarded an email to myself and the forward is enabled both when just previewing it and when i double-click the email to open it in it's own window. Did you try to customize it and add the forward button? is the forward button there but just grayed out?

The forward button is there when I recieve any mail.
It is when I open a forward and there is another forward then the box has REPLY at top left and when I click to the right of reply a box opends and I can the click forward.
If I click customize, the forward is already on the right box and cannot be added. tried to remove and then add again, but still the same thing

You mean when you click to the right of REPLY, a list drops down that includes FORWARD as one of the options?

Yes, that is correct. A list drops down and forward is there. It is just an extra step I don't want to take evey time I want to forward.

Then go back into CUSTOMIZE in that window and move the FORWARD button UP until it is in the list that is show where you don't have to click the arrow to bring up the drop-down list.
