no sound, no video?

I had a bunch of problems with my computer - I reinstalled windows which seemed to fix it but now the sound doesn't work and video doesdn't. Is there a driver I can download? it is a dell dimension 4700 with windows xp.

Hello davemichigan,

It definately sounds like a driver issue. But when you say your video doesn't work, what exactly do you mean by that?


To install the proper drivers, you must choose the corresponding device in device manager, click on the Driver tab, and then click on Update Driver.

To get to device manager, Right-click on My Computer and select Properties. Click on the Hardware tab and then click on Device Manager.
