When the computer is start regular it starts up and starts loading stuff and then freezes I think because the cpu usage is at 100%... if you start in safe mode or diagnostic start-up the computer will run forever.... is there like a main list of things that have to be running and how do i remove things that dont need to be running... this computer is just for going online so nothing is really needed on it extra running.. worse comes worse ill restore the computer but was hoping there was an easier way...

Try running MSCONFIG. I am not sure if this is possible from Safe Mode. Go to a dos prompt and type MSCONFIG, and uncheck all the programs you dont want to start when your PC boots up.

Hi ispoilthem69, welcome to Geeks To Go Forums.

You may be infected with malware.

So please read this: Read This Before Posting A Hijackthis Log (Click on the link)

That will give you steps that will help you clean up 70% of the problems yourself. Then please download "Hijackthis" and run Hijackthis with log. Save the log file here: Malware Removal - HiJackThis Logs Go Here

When you have followed all these steps. A Geeks To Go Staff Member will help you fix your problem. If you do not have malware, GTG Staff can still make sure your computer will be running faster. Let GTG Staff know that you may not have malware but that you want your computer to run faster.

(Note: Please be patient, the "Malware Forum" is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual.)

Thank you and goodluck. :tazz:
