I would like to sort my desktop into sections. For example I want to arrange all of my games on the upper left corner of my desktop. Then I want to arrange all of my work folders on the upper right corner, and so on. I know that I can manualy move them, however I want to then sort them withing their section without affecting the others. As of know, when I right click on the desktop and select "arange by name" it reconfigures all of my desktop icons back to the left of my desktop.

I don't know of anything like that. That doesn't mean there isn't one but I just don't know of it. I'd stick with manually dragging and sorting.
