Hi,

My laptop crashed yesterday and now windows XP will not load at all. I am promptedAfter a long time of trying to start a message appears saying 'operating system not found' or somthing along those lines. I have tried to use the recovery cd-rom but no joy there, after going through the process and choosing to re-install by selecting the main partition i just get an errror message and am guided to restart the computer, thus starting the process all over again. I can get in to the recovery console using the CD, and this seems like my only option of doing anything. Any advice on how to rectify the situation?

Cheers, dovmob.

ps now i am getting a message saying that setup didnt find any hard drives on my computer when i try to reinstall.any help would be appreciated! cheers
