Trouble with Motorola Rokr in Windows XP

I just purchased a Motorola Rokr E1, and was trying to transfer songs from ITunes but the phone will not show up in the Source Menu. I have Windows XP, and installed ITunes directly from the CD included with the phone. I have the 512MB memory card installed, and have it set as the default USB setting. I open up ITunes, connect the phone, and ITunes scans the phone memory but does not show up in Sources. I've searched for articles on this but can't find any info anywhere. I've also downloaded the latest version of ITunes and that does not seem to work either. Any help would be appreciated.
