The sooner you try to recover the files, the better. The more you use the computer, the more likely they will be overwritten and unrecoverable, at least through conventional methods.
Get a Thumb Drive or external hard drive or a secondary drive that you can restore the pictures to. You don't want to restore them to the original hard drive, or they will most likely be overwritten.
Use Restoration to recover your files. It is a fairly good program. Check the box that says Include used clusters by other files and then do a search for .jpg or .jpeg.
If it doesn't find anything, I have one other program that may. But if it doesn't, your only other option will be to send it off to the professionals that charge about $1000 for professional data recovery. They use a electron tunneling microscope (or something like that) to recover data, even if it is overwritten.

Well i ran the program and it didn't find the files i needed. Tnakyou anyway.
