:tazz: After ...hooking up The modem and filters and the ethernet cable does the window still pop up with the dial-up number or do you just click on internet explorer and your on: in other words does DSL still dial a phone number to log on (even thought it doesn't tie up your phone line)?

No. You won't hear that dialing sound. It should hook up after you configure all our settings.

How do you configure your settings? DO you need to change some of the settings so it doesn't dial up anymore or does it automatically sense the DSL and not do that anymore? I didn't get any software or set-up disk because it's a local isp.

Are you using Win XP?
What type of modem do you have?
Do you use a router? (connects multiple computer)
And do you know what type of connection you have. DHCP or PPPoE (you can ask your ISP)
