is there a way to shut off the little bubble that pops up when i select the start button that says some items can not be shown in the menu try using smaller icons ect ect i did all that its small as it can go how do i shut that blasted bubble off ?

hi...i got this from Geeks to go's windows XP tweaks and guide..just copy pasted it here...its worth the try...

Tweak #22: Disable Balloon Tips

Get sick of Balloon Tips, the small yellow pop‐ups that appear throughout Windows informing you of various facts. To disable them:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
EnableBalloonTips=0

Setting this to a DWORD value of 0 turns off the balloon tips.

Remember editing the registry can cause problems, if you do the wrong thing. Do not do this unless you feel safe editing the registry.

You can access the registry by clicking start then "run"...type regedit then click ok.
