Hi

We're trying to install MS Office 2003, we've used the property value set to ALLUSERS=2, yet we only get Office installed to the current user.

User is a Domain Admin as well as a Local Admin, but any other user does not get Office.

Any help beyond the MS readme that doesn't seem to work???

Thanks for any help.

We've tried all of those.

We ARE local and domain admin's. We tried Full install, typical install. It only installs for the current user.
If someone else logs on and tries to run a MS Office product (which they would have to search for as they are not put into the Start Menu), it tells us that the application is not installed for this user.

We've searched thru the forums, help files, etc!!!

Thanks

never had that problem...even with oem settups.....Usually (don't know if this iwll make a diff)...when i install i use the custom setup..choose all the applications..then do the "advanced" or something like that check box at the bottom...then i make sure that every thing is set to run from the computer....

what version of office is this? 2003 pro, or sbe or what?

It's got something to do with GPO, I'm not doing that side of things, so will have to sit with the network guys and figure out what in the Policies is preventing the Admins from installing correctly.

We took a brand newly built laptop, Ghosted the OS, logged on as LOCAL Admin and did the install, that worked ok, and put Office in the "All Users" profile. Then Office was available to anyone who logged in after that.

If we logged into the network first, and then tried doing the install, it didn't work correctly (although there is no errors or indications that there is a problem). So it's gotta be something that the GPO is blocking.

Thanks

Oh, it's Office 2003 Pro.

Might sound trite but did you pick the option to install for all users
this is a prompt given that you may have overlooked.
are you installing this on a server or just 1 computer that is accessed by more then 1 person?
