Ok here is what happens:

I try to defrag and I get this error:

Posted Image

Sorry for the large image.

This is not my machine, I just cleaned a number of viruses off of it, and I also did an in-place install. I also used the SCF command, all of ths system files are clean.

I had googled to this thread:

http://www.geekstogo...opic=99608&st=0

And I tried ev every solutuon posted, I mean, all of them. Something is just preventing the defragger from starting.

Particulars about my machine are in the other thread, but just so you dont have to go clicking over:

Windows XP Pro
SP 1

NO security updates except malicious software removal tool.

I also just converted from FAT32 to NTFS as well

Are you just trying to annoy people?

You have revived an old resolved thread, started a thread, and now created a second thread--all for the same problem,
