Hey guys, I was trying to uninstall a newer version of Nero Burning ROM, and it did an automatic uninstallation of my older version. Problem is, it didn't do it properly, so now I can't install my new version as it keeps detecting an old version, but all there is left of the old version is an invalid entry in the Add/Remove Program area, that does not work when I try to uninstall it manually.

So, I wanted to try a system restore, as I do not have my original Nero CD. Turns out my restore points dont work!! Any help? Is it possible to fix this problem? Or atleast possible to get rid of all the old traces of Nero so I can get the new version installed.

Click start then all programmes, accessories, system tools to run disc clean up, then also from system tools, run disc defragmenter

Click start then run, type prefetch then press enter, click edit then select all, (all files will highlight), right click any file, click delete, confirm then reboot.
