Problem:
:)

Hi, I am using a Hewlett Packard 4200C scanner.
The problem I am having is that when you hit a button to start a scan
the scanner makes niose over and over again. Also the
light goes from green to orange. Does anyone know a solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Mikail.

The noise started when it first went down. At times I may get a noise but not offen. Most of the time there is no sound or anything.I tried to scan with the cover open but it didn't do anything, no sound or movement.When I checked Device Manager and went into General Properties,it said [Device status Working Properly.] At the lower end of the scanner icon, there seems to be some kind of a clamp. Don't know what this is............

Thanks;
John

When you checked the thing with the light on it (object that does the scanning) does it looked like its having a problem moving?

Clamp? hmmmm... try checking if your scanner has a lock (physical lock) usually scanners have this.

Just tried these, no luck. How do you check to see if the "Usb Cable" is good, and the "Usb Ports" are working????
