Hello All

I am currently transfering a working computer from an old case to a new one.
Having successfully transfered all of the hardware and put all of the powere ide and other cables in place I boot up PC, at this stage I get power to HDD,CDR,Floppy but fail to get the comforting BIP noise and then obviosly nothing to the screen.
My presumption is that the jumper settings are incorrect for power hdd etc, however after download manual from the biostar site they are correct I have tried many differant combinations but still the same result.

This motherbards was working fine in the old case
Motherboards is a Biostar M7VIQ
The case is an atx with hdd lead, power lead + and - ,Reset Switch and Power switch.
I am at a total loss .
I have tried differant Ram
Used PSU from Old case
Any advice would be gratefully recieved

Cheers in advance Pete

Hi..

Try checking if nothing is grounding your mobo to the casing (like loose screws or casing pegs or something)...Yes that means detaching your mobo from its casing.

Let me know what happens...

By the try not to attach your mobo to its casing yet because we might try booting your unit outside its casing. :tazz:

Hmmm thats weird so you tried booting it up using the old case and it was succesfull? :)
At least we now know that your mobo and all other parts is good :tazz:

Your jumper settings are correct, PSU cables correctly attached.....
Your new casing does it come with a new PSU or your using the PSU of your old casing?
