Clear your rules by starting Outlook:
Start-> Run; "path to Outlook.exe" /cleanrules
Start-> Run; "path to Outlook.exe" /cleanrules

Hello ,
thanlks for the reply i tried running ................C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE /cleanrules........... from the start>run, but it gives me the error "Windows cannot find 'C:\programs'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
I tried different ways but it didn't worked out.

try start > run > cmd > then at the prompt that comes up type EXACTLY what you see below
"c:\program files\microsoft office\office11\outlook.exe" /cleanrules

in my case "outlook /cleanrules in RUN also work (but not really). But my problem is when i click "Tools>Rules AND Alerts" it gives me the error "The Operation Failed" with warning "yellow sign". it doesn't even gives details of error or help message.
