Hi, i've started to have weird problems with my plextor px712a dvd burner, it started a month or two back when i noticed discs of say, multiple xvid files etc, would burn ok but the drive wouldnt read the disc afterwards, other pcs in the house can read them no problem. Now the problems have got worse though as the icon for the drive (f on my computer) just vanishes now every now and again and its like there is no drive there, it doesnt show up in the device manager either! any ideas? the drive has the latest firmware installed and stuff, any help greatly appreciated!

Thanks
