I tried to install hijackthis and I got this error:

c:\Program Files\Hijackthis\Hijackthis.exe

An error occurred while trying to rename a file in the destination directory:
MoveFile failed; code 5
Access is denied.

Right after this message, I got a pop-up from my antivirus saying that a virus has been detected and i have to run virus scan immediately. After running the antivirus, it says there was no virus detected...

Help Pls!

This is a long-standing issue with Hijack This and the McAfee internet security suite. It basically thinks HiJack This is something it isn't. No other anti-virus solution has such a major issue with this program.

Easiest solution is to either run HiJack from a write-protected CD or floppy, or turn McAfee off while you do whatever with HiJack.
