I've got, i think, a bug on my system.

Everytime my pc is on for a couple of hours, i get somesort of pop-up saying:
exsplorer
with a ok beneath it...

by the time this happens....
- there's a link to exsplorer on my desktop
- there's a link to exsplorer in my start menu
- there's a link to exsplorer in my programs
- there's a link to exsplorer in my bookmarks
- and the home page of my ie has changed into the page, that the exsplorer links goes to.

I keep deleting all those links, but they keep coming back....
Norton antivirus/ewido/hitman pro don't know it... killbox doesn't work.

does anyone know this prob?
and what to do with it??

thnx in forward for the help!

i've never seen such a thing...but a quick google search popped up some info where some people are listing the same symptoms as you in other malware forums (i also saw where there's a startling amount of people who HONESTLY can't spell the word explorer....ahh public schools..)

sooo

Please go to the malware forum in my signature and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
