Today, when I was playing Guild Wars, the screen suddenly showed weird brown, red, black stripes. :whistling:
According to that i'm absolutely sure that I need to buy a new GFX-Card.
I'm planning to buy a Leadtek Geforce 6600 GT.

yeah mate, it sounds like gfx card is nackered!? the 6600 gt is quite a good card it will run anything on high, however, i think you should definatly think about getting a new stick of ram. 512 just isnt enough these days.

This is a problem with the chipset. Its the exact problem that I have currently. Your new "mobo" uses a VIA chipset, now does it have a AGP slot? There was a known problem with that detected in the operating system. If your using Win XP Pro, you're screwed till some1 finds a soluiton. Windows 2000 has a solution:
Found here! Now, when you find a soluiton: I could be totally wrong but try running a 2D game like SImcitty 2000, or some old stragety game and c if that works right.

Please do not include and e-mail address in any post as it could lead to more contact than you intended

Yes, it has an AGP Slot.
