External HDD cant run setup in OSX 10.4.5

i have an ibook g4 running mac os x 10.4.5. I purhased a hdd enclosure to case my 120 gb hdd to provide for more space on my laptop. it came with a mini disk and that cant be ran directly in my laptop becuase it has a slot drive and it wont take mini disks. So I made a copy of it to a standard sized cd and put that in the drive. the files are there, but there is no auto-run for the setup. i went through all the folders on the cd and none seem to be for macs or have the extension .dmg. i really need some help with this, since my 30gb hdd is almost full! thanks!
