I hope I'm in the right forum - I'm new to this.

I installed a Windows Update a couple of weeks ago and immediately began receiving the following messages when I turn on my computer:

"The procedure entry point SHGetFileInfoA could not be located in the dynamic link library SHELL32.dll."

My only option is to click OK, then the following message appears:

"The Logon User Interface DLL msgina.dll failed to load. Contact your system administrator to replace the DLL, or restore the original DLL."

Now my only option is to Restart, which I do and then the whole miserable process repeats.

I have attempted to restart in Safe Mode to do a System Restore, but cannot get my system to even boot up in Safe Mode. What now?

Any direction/advice will be greatly appreciated.
