I plugged in my flash drive recently and got the message that the device was not recognized in the bubble that it has malfunctioned. man, I ave lots of important files on the drive. Can you help????????????

First thing to do is see if it works in another PC. I have exactly the same problem. Flash drive works fine in all but my PC at work.
