Laptop Issue

Not sure if this is entirely a Hardware issue, but here goes:

I have a laptop Tiny A360 - which was on Windows ME, but has now been upgraded to XP. The laptop has been built and relevant drivers installed. Now, when trying to change some IP settings, it does not show any characters when i'm typing. EG when i go to insert some manual DNS settings nothing shows up. I have tried plugging in an external keyboard but the same problem occurs. My reall issue is, that if i open up Word, the keyboard types away quite happily :whistling: :blink:

This is driving me mad - please help :help:
