when you recieve an email with text only, usually it appears on the page. there is no attachments or anything. but a few times in hotmail, when i receive a email thats supposed to have text only, hotmail shows the text saved as an attachment in a document called message5.txt or message3.txt. but i am never able to open these messages to read teh email. is there anything i can do?

Just make sure that you know the person who is sending you the email before you open the txt file. If you don't know the person, then delete the email without reading it. Alot of viruses can be send out through txt files sent over email.
