i amn running Adobe Photoshop 7.0. I made a shape using the pen tool and then used "Stroke Path" to put what i had made onto the canvas. Then I added a Gradient Overlay to it and now it wont let me use the burn or dodge tools on it to add detail. Is there another way to put it on the canvas that will allow me to use these tools or am I doing something else wrong? Any help is appriciated.

Did you try saving what you had then re-opening it to add other things
