Hi all,

I am experiencing a rather difficult problem abt my OS. I had a damaged Fujitsu S series motherboard replaced with a second hand one in the market. The new board was tested to be working well. The problem came when I installed the board with my original hardisk. The OS went into XP loading then the blue screen came and a pop up shows LSASS.exe error : When trying to update a password, this return status indicates that the value provided as the current password is incorrect.

Then the comp rebooted in 2 sec and the process repeats again and again. This cannot be stopped. It cannot be rectifiy by booting into safe mode either.

I have read some previous threads,

1)Install another OS in another partition and reboot from this partition. Copy the system32 folder to the faulty folder and reboot.

2)#MS KB307545 cannot help me as I have an OEM OS.

3)http://home.eunet.no...sswd/syskey.txt
deactivating the syskey using the software found at the above site.
I tried this method....but the boot disk image does not work....Do not know why, I am going to try with floppy soon.

Right now I am quite confused hope somebody can point out the correct solution or place where I can find the method to solve this problem.

Thanks !
