little icons not staying

when saving a address to favs, like cnn.com,(or any other one for that matter) I get a small icon that is one from CNN, then when i reboot or turn off system, the name still shows in my fav list, but the icon is now a IE icon, is there a way to keep the individule icons, or does it always change backto IE icon?
please help, I would rather have the unique ones instead. I am running winXP

try not clearing those files for a few days...se if the icon's stay the way you want them
