2 problems with my wistern digital hard disk

i had a problem with my hard disk :blink: :help: :) :) :D
a partition in my hard disk have disappeared and i ve tried every thing from fdisk to partition magic but still no answer ...
the original disk size is 80.000 gigabytes and now it has became only 59.000 giga
also few days afterwords my hard disk keep cutting power -sorry for my bad english- as some times it runs and i can hear its engine running but suddenly it stops and then run randomly
hope u send me any books or answers for my problem :whistling:

If you cannot see your missing partition in disk management
(Start - right click my computer - manage - disk management)
then it is possible your motherboard does not support Hard disks bigger than a certian size (e.g 60GB).
Check the motherbaord manufacturers website to see if there is a BIOS update to fix it.

Also, if your HDD is randomly starting and stopping, the power wire going to the drive might be bad. Try replacing it with a new wire. As for the partition, do what macarrick said.
