delayed write failed

on opening and trying to close system error appears ' delayed write failed' saying that c drive is full , bit odd as have 24 gb free. Ran SpyBot, 31 probs found - imunised and deleted, tried to run Norton AV ver 10.0.1.13 Live Update failed to complete. then system disconnects from wireless , tells me that LAN cable disconnected again odd , never used cable!! . Any thoughts?
