Is there a media access method called CSMA/MA???

CSMA stands for Carrier Sense Multiple Access...i don't know what the MA stands for...and haven't found a reference for it

i know what CSMA/CA(collision avoidance) and CSMA/CD(collision detection) is

csma/ca is for collisiion avoidance...where each computer listens on the wire and tries it's hardest not to talk at the same time as someone else

CD actually detects collisions and resubmits the packets after a random time interval to try to avoid another collision...
