Hey can somone, anyone please help me??

I had the VCODEC file on my computer for ages and i couldnt get rid of it. It doesnt seem to show up anymore, but now i can no longer see any visuals in windows media player. Any movie files etc wont play. I can hear the audio but thats about it! I think there is somthing nasty messing with my computers chi! PLease can somone help.

Your problem most probably is beacuse of the decoder. Download K-Lite Codec Pack 2.71 FULL from here, install it and then try opening the media files again. That should fix your problem hopefully, let me know please.

PS: To check your Log you should post your HJT Log in this forum. Malware experts will help you through from there. I suggest you not to use any P2P sotware (such as Limewire) since they are a great source from where you get infected.

Hey Alan,
Thanks so much for getting back to me.
I downloaded and installed the codecs but it still wont play anything. I have noticed however that every so often it will play a video once, and then it will go back to the black screen again for like 20 times.
What should i do now??
