Hey all,

As the topic sais, my computer keeps losing connection between the router and the network card.

I checked the event viewer and it just said:
Intel® PRO/1000 CT Network Connection Link has been disconnected.

I just have to go into properties of my network places and just click refresh for it to go back to normal.

Has anyone had this problem or know whats causing it?

Im using XP home

Thanks in advance

Howdy,

I can't say that I've ever had this error happen to me / seen it before.. it's a new one to me, too.

Are there any other errors / warnings in your Event Viewer?

Please goto Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Communications --> Network Connections --> Right-click your Local Area Connection --> Select Properties --> Press the Configure... button, next to your NIC --> Select the Power Management tab --> Ensure the option Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. is unchecked.

Is the disconnect random? Or does it happen in set intervals?

Does your NIC have the latest drivers intalled? Have you tried uninstalling / reinstalling your NIC?

The drivers are all the latest, and windows has all the lastest updates etc.

The eventvwr msg sais:

"Intel® PRO/1000 CT Network Connection Link has been disconnected"

Thats all it tells me :whistling:

Why?!?!

Thanks
