Xp problem need help fast

Hi i need help again but this time something went horribly wrong...i have no malware of any sort or anything...i tried registering the 2 keys for WMP to work on my sisters acccount..i changed some stuff then i changed it back to normal. Now the System restore window comes blank and so does the User accounts window and some other stuff. And now WMP 10 isnt working it says Internal Application error occured and that wen i go on a website it says Cannot create direct player or something like that and im running mozilla firefox..i didnt have a problem yesterday or today wen i came home from skool...so i need desperate help cuz i use this comp for alot of important stuff! FAST HELP APPRECIATED THANK U!

Click start then run, type prefetch then press enter, click edit then select all, right click any file then click delete, confirm delete

Click start, all programmes, accessories, system tools to run disc clean up, then from system tools, run disc defragmenter.

Click start then run, type sfc /scannow then press enter, you need the XP CD and Windows File Protection will show a blue onscreen progress bar, when the bar goes, reboot
